10 tips to work smarter: tip 0 - Arrive on time

The day you stop racing is the day you win the race. - Bob Marley

Read in: 2 minutes.

Arriving on time is simply the basis of a lot and so it is set to '0'. Nothing is more disastrous for your peace of mind and success than knowing that you are late. Haste causes unrest, stress and dissatisfaction. It also increases the risk of errors and accidents. You are wasting the time of others waiting for you. And not unimportant: you indirectly give the unfriendly signal not to take the other person seriously.

  • So leave well in time and assume that things can always go wrong. With this you show respect for the other and yourself.
  • Are you a little early because of that? Use this time to relax and prepare yourself optimally for a successful appointment.
  • Set an alarm about 5 minutes before you really have to leave. This prevents you from forgetting the time and leaving too late. You then have some time to quickly finish what you are doing, pack the last things and still leave on time.
  • Are you still unable to arrive on time? Then inform the other person as soon as possible. This gives you peace of mind and gives the other person the opportunity to do something else without wondering where you are. Both parties happy
